Magnet Application

  • Magnet Applications are closed for the 2018-19 School year.  Acceptance/Denial Letters will be postmarked by March 9th. The deadline to submit your acceptance response is Friday, March 23, 2018. Responses cannot be accepted after this date.

News Flash

  • GRAD BASH 2018 on April 28th!

    All seniors attending Grad Bash need to meet at the PAC on Saturday, April 28th by 4:00PM for check-in. Students MUST be dress code compliant in order to attend. Please see below for details and rules regarding acceptable clothing. This information was stated on the permission form all students submitted.




    Rhodes Graduation will be at West Port on May 7th to deliver cap and gowns. Seniors must be cleared of ALL debts and textbooks and receive a CLEARED slip from Mr. Williams before you will be able to get your items.

    MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal and the Senior Breakfast will be on Friday, May 11th. Seniors will meet in the PAC at 9:35 AM. If you are attending college or going into the military after high school, please wear a shirt that represents your college or military branch to show your spirit.

    The West Port annual Academic Awards Cermonies will be held in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) on May 7th & May 8th. We will begin seating at 5:30PM for the 6:00PM awards, but we will not open seating for the 7:00PM Awards Ceremony until the prior ceremony is finished.

                                    9th Grade Awards: Monday, May 7th at 6:00PM 
                                  10th Grade Awards: Monday, May 7th at 7:00PM
                                  11th Grade Awards: Tuesday, May 8th at 6:00PM
                                  12th Grade Awards: Tuesday, May 8th at 7:00PM

    Congratulations to Norma Barnes for being selected as a Golden Apple Teacher of the Year, and to Michael Hartman for being selected as the Marion County Rookie Teacher of the Year! We have AMAZING staff at West Port!

    Congratulations to Norma Barnes who was selected as West Port High School's Teacher of the Year!



    Ms. Barnes teaches reading and the Autism Spectrum Unit. She also started the Wolf Pack United Mentoring Program at West Port which pairs students with special needs with student mentors on campus.

    Congratulations to Michael Hartman who was selected as West Port High School's Rookie Teacher of the Year!


    Mr. Hartman teaches Biology and Honors Biology.

    Congratulations to Patricia Kyle who was selected as West Port High School's School-Related Employee of the Year!

Office 365 Information

    Introducing Office 365 for Students and Staff

    The School Board of Marion County, FL is proud to announce the new Microsoft Office Pro Plus Program to students and staff. This program provides free access to Office 365 Pro Plus for students enrolled in our school district and staff (employees). Marion County Public Schools meets this requirement!


    Students currently enrolled in our district, and staff, are eligible, and may download and install Office 365 ProPlus on up to 5 devices (PC, MAC). The School Board of Marion County, FL does not provide support for installing or troubleshooting software on personal devices or home computers.
