Wantanisha D. Morant serves as Executive Director of Human Resources for Marion County Public Schools, overseeing all aspects of the district’s human resources operations, including Talent Management, Employee Relations, Professional Practices, and Employment Services. She is responsible for strategic workforce planning, labor relations, HR compliance, and developing systems that support recruitment, retention, and employee engagement across the organization.
Ms. Morant brings nearly two decades of experience in human capital leadership across public education and government sectors. She has led initiatives that strengthened HR infrastructure, enhanced employee support services, and improved operational efficiency.
A certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP), Ms. Morant holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance Management. She actively participates in professional and civic organizations that advance leadership, education, and community development.
