
Angela Usher - Senior Executive Director, Operations
Angela Usher serves as the Senior Executive Director of Operations for Marion County Public Schools, where she leads key operational services that support students and staff across the district. She brings extensive experience in planning, development, and large-scale project management across municipalities, counties, and school districts.
Originally from Belize, Central America, Usher is married and the mother of two sons and grandmother of five. She began her career with the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana, in the Planning and Community Development Department. She has also worked with the European Economic Commission and has supported multiple school districts in Florida, including serving as a consultant. Throughout her career, she has played a major role in the construction and modernization of hundreds of schools, helping create safe, efficient, and high-quality learning environments.
Prior to joining Marion County Public Schools, Usher served as Assistant Superintendent of Facilities and Operations for Polk County Public Schools and spent 19 years with the School District of Palm Beach County.
In addition to her professional work, Usher has remained actively involved in her community. She has volunteered on housing boards and served on the City of West Palm Beach Planning Commission. She is a trained mediator and certified planner, holding a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and completing graduate coursework in Public Administration and Project Management.
Usher is passionate about improving communities and creating environments where people can live and work successfully. Her leadership reflects strong management practices, forward-thinking problem solving, and a commitment to advancing projects and supporting organizational success.
