Meghan Magamoll

Meghan Magamoll - Executive Director of Public Education Foundation of Marion County

Meghan Magamoll serves as the Executive Director of the Public Education Foundation of Marion County (PEFMC), where she oversees all Foundation initiatives and fosters partnerships with local businesses and organizations to expand PEFMC’s impact to support its mission. She brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience to her role.

Meghan began her work with PEFMC in 2004 as a Student Advocate for the Take Stock in Children of Marion County (TSIC), a scholarship and mentoring program supporting at-risk youth. In 2013, she transitioned to Program Coordinator, where her dedication and passion were evident as she worked tirelessly to support the students and mentors in the program. She played a key role in expanding the program, doubling its size in both student reach and scholarship funding.

In the Spring of 2021, Meghan was promoted to Executive Director. She continues to lead with vision and compassion to serve PEFMC’s mission to financially and materially support Marion County Public Schools, its students and its teachers. Meghan currently oversees the following signature programs of the Foundation: Golden Apple Teacher Recognition, Grants for Great Ideas, School Business Partnerships, Senior Scholarships, Take Stock in Children, Teacher to Be, and the Tools 4 Teaching free teacher resource store.

Meghan earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in education from the University of Florida. Her husband, Dustin is a proud alumnus of Marion County Public Schools, and their two daughters currently attend MCPS high schools.
