Classroom Expectations, Rules, and Discipline Procedures

List of classroom expectations, rules, and the disicpline procedures for my class.

Please note: Where it says "teacher consequence" for the second warning, this will usually be one of the following:

      1. Seat Change

      2. Sent to a different room for remainder of class (usually reserved for students who have already disrupted the class once that day)

      3. Loss of privilege

      4. Conversation with student about why behavior is occuring and how we can fix it

*Also note, if a student is sent out of class due to misbehavior, that student is still responsible for the material covered and any assignments due for that day. Students will be sent with their work to another room. If work does not get turned in, it will result in a zero- these students will not receive additional time to complete assignments due to their choice to disrupt class. There is no tolerance for disrupting the learning environment more than once in one sitting resulting in removal from class; other students have the right to learn in a disruption free environment.

*Remember- Fort King Middle School has listed the following offenses as no-tolerance offenses resulting in an immediate referral:

  1. Fighting
  2. Blatant disrespect
  3. Drugs, weapons, alcohol
  4. Willful disobedience/defiance
