3/30 Important Message from Mr. Kasper (US History & Earth/Space Science)

Posted by Jason Kasper on 3/29/2020

Dear Parents and Students,

Please understand first and foremost, things at this time are in flux and could change. This blog will be where I post information regarding how we will be doing our school work for the  foreseeable future or until April 15th (the target date set by the state for students to return)

My Gameplan:

Each school day, starting Wednesday, April 1st, I will drop the school content to our Google Classroom account. Please be registered by Wednesday in the correct class. (see the tab IMPORTANT Google Classroom for instructions)

ALL WORK WILL BE DROPPED INTO THE GOOGLE ACCOUNT.

It is up to the student to stay on top of their Google Classroom account to not fall behind. These items will be graded in the grade book.

As with my usual school work, I will still try to do a mixture of the following:

Presentations (with voiceover instruction if applicable/possible)

Guided notes & Cornell notes

Some video content with reciprocal note-taking

Worksheets

WorkBook Pages

Graphic Organizers

Further note the following: These will not be live, online classes. They will be pre-recorded and pre-selected by me. Therefore, you can pace the work as you see fit to do, but understand you should not fall behind in your responsibilities to my class.

To assist you, I will be available from 9 am to 10 am in the morning and 3 pm to 4 pm in the afternoon MONDAY TRU FRIDAY to talk should you have any questions. If it is something that can be done by email, please email me and I will get to it when time permits.

Finally, you should be able to access your textbooks for all of your classes through your student portal. If you have any issues doing so, please let me know.

Keep a lookout and check my teacher website regularly to stay on top of things.

Have a great day!
