To dig deeper into a text and glean more meaningful information from it, you must actively engage! You may be familiar with the who, what, where, when, why, and how questions. However, expand those to dig deeper!

Questions to keep in mind as you read:

Who- Who wrote it? Who is the intended audience? Who does it impact? Who is it about?

What- What happened? What's the big deal? What changes as a result? What will come of it?

Where- Where did it happen? Where is it going? Where will it end? Where did it begin?

When- When did it happen? When was it discovered? When did it begin? When will things change as a result?

Why- Why did it happen? Why is it important? Why do you care? Why aren't more people doing it?

How- How did it happen? How did people find out about it? How will the world change as a result? How will people be affected by it?
