MTI First Responders Go All Out to Show What They Have Learned.

First Responder students, along with Forest High School’s Criminal Justice class, participated in a full-day fire, EMS, and law enforcement exercise at MTI. Students used all of the skills learned this year into one training exercise. Scenarios included smoke detector activations, food on the stove, structure fires, and barricaded subject. Members of Ocala Fire Rescue, Ocala Police Department, Marion County Fire Rescue, Ocala-Marion Mentorship program, and First Responder program completers assisted students providing valuable expertise during the training. Ocala Fire Rescue brought an engine company to add to the realism of the incidents. This valuable training is a result of our school collaborations and industry business partnerships, without whom this would not have been possible. We deeply appreciated everyone’s hard work and assistance. Thank you so much to everyone involved!
