SCHOOL BOARD SEEKS MEMBERS FOR

TAX MILLAGE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

 

MARION COUNTY – Marion County’s School Board is seeking legal residents of Marion County who want to be considered as members of a financial oversight committee reviewing a recently-renewed one mill tax referendum.

 

The Independent Citizen’s Referendum Oversight Committee (ICROC) will verify funds collected, as a result of the additional millage approved by voters back in August 2018, are appropriately allocated and spent.

 

Interested citizens should submit a letter of interest and a current resume including contact information.  These can be sent to:

Deadline for submissions is June 11, 2019.

 

Marion County School Board members will choose oversight committee members and publicly announce them when approved.  All oversight committee meetings will operate under Florida’s Government in the Sunshine Law.
