Free Breakfast and Lunch Program Expands in Marion County Schools

MARION COUNTY – The Food and Nutrition Department of Marion County Public Schools is adding yet another school to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students, bringing the total to 56 school sites for the 2023-2024 school year.

This means approximately 45,500 students at all 56 sites can receive free food without question or regard to family income.

This program is provided in partnership with the Community Eligibility Provision initiative and is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. No application is required to participate.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form aDJ-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
