‘PARENT PARTNERSHIP EVENT’ SET FOR
APRIL 22 AT VANGUARD HIGH SCHOOL
MARION COUNTY – Parents and families wanting to help their students’ learning success have access to a wealth of resources next weekend.
Marion County Public Schools concludes its “Parent Partnership” series for this school year with a session scheduled on Saturday, April 22, at Vanguard High School at 9 a.m.
Topics for this session encourage families to “Catch the Summer Wave” and keep students learning over the summer, supporting English Language Learners during the summer, awareness of drug and alcohol trends, opportunities offered by public libraries and the College of Central Florida, mental health indicators and intervention, summer enrichment for Pre-K Exceptional Student Education, preparing for kindergarten, and Skyward Family Access.
Childcare will be available for students if their parents attend. Spanish translation will also be available.
The event offers free food, transportation to and from the event, and giveaways. Transportation is limited to age five and older. Parents, families and others can register for the event and transportation at this link or by contacting their child’s school.

Parent Partnership sessions showcase the efforts by MCPS to cultivate a stronger partnership between families, schools, and the community.
