Marion Students Can Eat for Free at School This Summer

MARION STUDENTS CAN EAT FOR
FREE AT SCHOOL THIS SUMMER
MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools will continue serving students in the community with free meals this summer as part of its Summer Food Service Program.
The district anticipates providing over 200,000 meals to students this summer.
In addition to feeding students each school day campuses offering summer school classes, meals will be provided at 33 base locations to students every Monday – Thursday from June 6 – July 14 (except the July 4 holiday). The district is closed on Fridays during the summer.

· North Marion High |
· North Marion Middle |

Anyone 18 or younger is eligible for this program which requires no application or income verification.
The following 10 organizations will also be community delivery centers to serve students participating in their respective programs: Blessed Trinity Catholic Church; Boys & Girls Clubs in Dunnellon, Marion County, and Silver Springs Shores; Central Christian Church; E.D. Croskey Recreation Center; Frank Deluca YMCA; Greater New Hope Church; Lillian Bryant Center, Ocala Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The Summer Food Service Program operates through reimbursements from Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
