COMMUNITY CAN EVALUATE
NEW SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING CURRICULUM
MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools seeks public input to help evaluate a new social emotional learning curriculum for elementary students.
Anyone wanting to review the curriculum may attend information sessions set for Thursday, Dec. 10 or Friday, Dec. 11. Both sessions take place 5PM-7PM on the Marion Technical Institute (MTI) campus in Building 2, Room 01.
Social emotional learning curriculum provides younger students with the knowledge and skills to better understand each other and communicate with others. New curriculum is being considered following a Marion County School Board decision to eliminate the previously-used curriculum.
MTI is located at 1614 E. Fort King St., Ocala, 34471.
For more information, contact the Mental Health Services Department of Marion County Public Schools at 352.671.7184.
