Graduates will each receive six admission tickets

MARION COUNTY – Nearly 3,000 seniors in Marion County Public Schools anticipate walking across the stage to graduate as members of the Class of 2021.

This year, six of seven public high schools are moving that graduation stage to Ocala’s World Equestrian Center (WEC) stadium. The remaining school will stay at its traditional graduation location.

This year’s high school graduation schedule includes Vanguard students graduating May 28 at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion at 7PM.

These schools will hold graduation ceremonies at the World Equestrian Center on the dates indicated:

  • May 29 - Forest at 9 a.m.
  • May 29 - North Marion High at 7 p.m.
  • June 2 - Dunnellon High at 6 p.m.
  • June 3 - Lake Weir High at 7 p.m.
  • June 4 - West Port High at 6 p.m.
  • June 5 - Belleview High at 9 a.m.

Each graduate will receive six event tickets to share with family and friends -- three times as many as last year’s graduates.  Safety protocols and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will also be in place at both venues.

All seven ceremonies will also livestream on the district’s YouTube channel (MCPSmedia).

Cox, a business partner at two MCPS schools and supporter of various district programs, is sponsoring honor cords for Class of 2021 graduates, the third year they have done so.

Hillcrest School will hold its graduation ceremony on Friday, May 21 at 11AM in the school gymnasium.
