PUBLIC INVITED TO VIEW POTENTIAL
NEW TEXTBOOKS AND SUBMIT FEEDBACK
MARION COUNTY – With Marion County Public Schools adopting new curriculum materials for Spanish I and Spanish II, public input can be offered during an open review night scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
That afternoon and early evening, members of the public can physically review potential curriculum materials being considered by the district adoption review committees for next school year.
The 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. session takes place in Building 20 located at 392 SE 19 Ave., Ocala, 34471, on the Bridgeway Academy campus.
The process already involves parents, teachers, and community members reviewing instructional materials. Course-specific committees can involve up to 15 voting members and one non-voting chair including the content area program specialist, up to eight teachers, two parents, and five community members appointed by the Marion County School Board.
Following this public viewing, review committee members will consider public input at their meeting set for March 10 at 6 p.m. at the Robert “Mack” Dunwoody Educational Complex, Building 2, Room 32 located at 1614 East Fort King Street in Ocala.
Committee members will also recommend titles to the superintendent, who then advances recommendations to the Marion County School Board.
