ACADEMIC OPTIONS ON DISPLAY AT
ANNUAL MAGNET AND RESOURCE EXPO
MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools hosts its annual Magnet and Community Resource Expo at Ocala’s World Equestrian Center on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Guests at this free event in Expo Center 2 can visit with faculty and students from 17 magnet schools and career academies. The event allows families to explore and view various educational options available at every grade level in MCPS.
Community resource groups will also offer support, distribute materials, and answer questions at this free event.
The World Equestrian Center is located at 1750 NW 80 Ave., Ocala, Florida, 34482. Expo Center 2 is located on the back side of WEC and offers easy public access and ample parking.
The application window to apply for school choice, magnet and Career Academy options opens the same day and remains open through Jan. 31, 2025.
To apply for a magnet program or career academy, select the “School Choice” icon at www.marionschools.net, choose “Elementary, Middle, & High School Magnet Programs,” and then follow the link to “School Choice Application & Information.”
Parents/families must provide their own transportation if accepted into school choice programs because the district does not provide transportation for out-of-area placements.
