Welcome to Mr. McCallum's website for 7th grade English Language Arts. I am originally from New Hampshire and have now lived in Ocala, Florida for the last 23 years. I have a 14 year old daughter who attended Belleview Middle School and is now starting High School, so I understand what it is like to have a child in the classroom. I have been a 7th grade Belleview Middle School teacher for 19 years now and have taught ELA continuously. In 2018, the Florida Department of Education named me one of the highest impact teachers in the state, based on the performance of my students in the 2014-2015, 2015-2016, and 2016-2017 school years. I also received the “Best and the Brightest” scholarship award from the Florida Department of Education in 2018 & 2019. When I am not teaching I enjoy camping, canoeing, and hiking with my family. I absolutely love to read and hope that I can find an author that will inspire your child to learn to love reading also.
