    MISSION STATEMENT

    At Fort McCoy School, the staff works together in an environment of mutual respect and understanding toward the common goal of preparing students for a lifetime of learning, productive work, and responsible citizenship by serving the learning needs of the community in both traditional and innovative ways.

     

    SCHOOL PROFILE

    Fort McCoy School (Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade) is the only shared campus facility in Marion County.

    Located approximately 20 miles from Ocala, Florida, in the middle of the Ocala National Forest, Fort McCoy serves an attendance area of approximately 482 square miles. The majority of the approximately 1300 students are transported by bus.

    Fort McCoy School is a Title One School. Approximately 25% of the professional staff hold advanced degrees.

     

    SCHOOL COLORS AND MASCOT

    Ft. McCoy's school colors are blue and maroon. Our mascot is a Cougar.
