Hello students and parents. I look forward to continue teaching my students through distance learning. We will make the best of the situation and will work diligently to make sure learning is still occurring.
Please look here for the weekly agenda under the appropriate class your child is in. I teach Algebra I Honors and Intensive Math, so be sure to look under the correct class. I will be assigning multiple activities at the beginning of each week that should be completed before the start of the following week.
I can be best contacted via email which is firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you prefer to call, you can reach me at (352) 462-3195.
I plan to hold "office hours" in which I will be able to be reached by video conferencing via Zoom on a daily basis (note the disclaimer below). In these meetings, I will be able to offer live help for any of my students. Students do not need a webcam or microphone of their own; they can simply ask questions by typing. I will post links to these meetings in Google Classroom. I will hold these Zoom sessions on a daily basis from 10:00 - 11:00 am and again from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Again, I am very flexible and will be available outside these hours via email and phone. I will respond to emails and voicemails during normal school hours (9:20 am to 3:40 pm) or within 24 hours. If there are ever any questions or concerns, please do not hestiate to contact me.
Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
