Welcome students and parents. 

This year will be challenging and prosperous for all students who are willing to learn and put forth effort in their education, inside and outside the classroom. It will certainly be unlike any other school year we have had before, however I know we will make the best of the time we have learning together. The main learning platforms that we will be using are Savvas Realize (the textbook website), Math 180 for Intensive Math and Microsoft Teams for online learning.

Just a little background information about me. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, and I have lived in Florida all my life. After high school, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Florida, a Master's degree in Education from UF, a Master's degree in Economic Education from the University of Delaware, a Master's degree in Food and Resource Economics from UF, and a Specialist in Education degree in Social Studies from the University of Florida. This will be my 25th year of teaching here at Dunnellon Middle School. I am currently teaching 6th grade math and Intensive Math 6-8, but in the past I have taught Civics, Geography, US History, and Earth Science. I live in Dunnellon with my husband, our basset hound, Buddy, and two rivers turtles, Gillette and Lucky. I enjoy spending time playing golf, fishing, cooking for my friends and family, reading, and solving all types of puzzles. My key focus for this year is in math and helping my students learn and achieve great things. My overall goal is to have my students enjoy learning the wonderful concepts and ideas in mathematics that will help them lead a fuller, richer life.
