Ukulele suggetion
Some of the students have asked me what kind of ukulele to get. Here are some suggestions.
Diamond Head soprano ukulele (It was $28.95. I think the price went up to $39. It may keep changing.....)

Here is list; google classroom codes for students who has chosen online learning. Please login in to google account as your child. Go to portal and go to google classroom and find a + sign and add a code for music class.

No After School Chorus Program
In the past, 4th and 5th grade students could audition for Panther Sound, a school chorus group. We performed at different places. This year, I am not allowed to have that option, yet. If things change, I will let you know as soon as possible.

Charlie Dixon Elementary Music Festival was cancelled.

We had five students representing our school for All County Honor Choir in January at Reilly Arts Center. Great job Alessandra Mastoserio, Aditi Amarabadi, Joaquin Gonzalez, Gabrieele Javelona, and Ansh Karavadia.

We had four students who performed for ALL STATE ORFF ENESEMBLE in Tampa! ONly 100 students were chosen from the state of Florida. Great job, Nicolette Walker, Landon Bumbach, Mason Shorb, and Arianna Vaghela!!

Our school chorus, "Panther Sound" performed at Paddock Mall, Life Center of Ocala, and for FAFO in 2019. We'll start rehearsing again on Tuesdays starting on 2/11. You can see part of their performance here.

4th and 5th graders only,
We'll be using recorder in music class through the year.
Please go to musicalplayonline.com and practice the pieces at home.
No need to enter user name and code for now. It is open to all students.
Students are suggested to purchase his/her own recorder from school. Please bring the order form and exact change or a check payable to Dr. NH Jones Elementary to Ms. Wicklein. I have some extras if you still need one.

Panther Sound had a great SPRING CONCERT. Thank you to the parents for their support for the prgogram for this school year. Here are two selections from the concert; "Nothing More" and "Wishes".

Panther Sound performed for Charlie Dixon Elementary Music Festival at First Baptist Church. They performed with Ocala Springs Elementary this year. You can see thier performance here starting at 39:29.

We had five students who sang for All County Elementary Honor Choir at Reilly Arts Center on 1/24. They were London Bumbach, Nicolette Walker, Avery Lourenco, Bradley Hitchcock, and Gabriella Smith. You can watch their performance at MCPS media on youtube at shorturl.at/lxU07

Conglatulations!! Kylie Chang, Chloe Peltz, and Mallory Fryns went to Tampa to perform at FEMEA conference as a member of All State Orff Ensemble. You can see one of the pieces here.

Panther Sound and Panther Pipes performed for FAFO. What a great job they did! We will start rehearsing on Tuesday, 2/5 between 2-3 p.m. in music room.

Panther Sound students performed for the biggest concert of the year on 3/22 at First Baptist Church of Ocala with 1000 other elementary students. This year, we sang with Saddlewood Elementary chorus group. combined rehearsal You can see the whole concert here. We start singing at 13:36. Enjoy.
