Notes from Mrs. Davis

School supplies

-Per Marion County School Board All students will be required to wear a mask or facial covering where 6 feet of social distancing is not possible.  This includes our classroom.  Students will be given break times outside when they can remove their masks.  This is for the health of everyone.

-Students are expected to have their supplies with them daily.  We are not allowed to share supplies this year.  Please make sure your child has a box for their school supplies.  Students often use many pencils through the school year.  Please replace your child’s pencils, as necessary.   Supply boxes will NOT go home daily.

- I will provide 1 three ring binder, filler paper, colored pencils, notebooks, and folders.  If your child loses or destroys any of the items provided, it will be your responsibility to replace them. 

Food

- Students may only bring snacks from home if they are included in the student's lunchbox.  Students are not allowed to share food with other students.  Cookies, candy, nuts, snack cakes, whole bags of chips, or food that requires a spoon will not be allowed.  I cannot refrigerate or warm food for your child. Snacks that create messy fingers (ie. TAKIS, Cheetos, Doritos) are not allowed.

-  Students may bring a bottle of water with a secure lid.  Colored beverages, Gatorade, soda, juice, or other drinks will not be permitted in the classroom.

Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.) These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child's image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
