Hello parents and welcome back. We  had a great first day back. We went over rules and expactations for the classroom. The year is moving quickly and it won't be long before Quarter 3 begins. We will be moving from scaffolded reading to more independent  reading in all subject areas. Students will be reading and completing more  assignments and assessments independently to help prepare them for 3rd grade. You can help at home by encouraging them to complete home practice with minimal reading assistance. Practice is very important so reading 20 minutes per day  really helps students become more confident and fluent readers. Thank you for your help.
