Welcome to MCPSonline!

This year MCPSonline will follow the in person school schedule. Microsoft Teams is the platform that MCPSonline is using. The student day will include live video sessions and independent work times both online and offline. Parents, please make sure your students are completing their work each day.

Attendance

Being present is a key component of student success. Attendance will be taken at 7:45 AM during our morning meeting and at each live session throughout the day. If for some reason your child misses the day, they will need a doctor's note or a note from the parent sent to Mrs. Diane Butler just as they would if they were attending face-to-face school.

Live Sessions/Independent Work/Small Group

Live sessions will include lessons for each subject taught by the teacher. Independent work will have students working by themselves (with parent support as needed) during that time. Students may be pulled into small groups during independent time for small group instruction. Quizzes/Tests Students will be taking quizzes and tests online. It is important for the students to work on these assignments on their own. These tests and quizzes might happen during a live session.

Fire Drills

Please know that the children who are at school will still be participating in Fire Drills and A.L.I.C.E drills. When these occur if we are in a live session the session will be ended and will resume at the next scheduled time.

Este año, MCPSonline seguirá el horario escolar. Microsoft Teams es la plataforma que utiliza MCPSonline. El día del estudiante incluirá sesiones de video en vivo y tiempos de trabajo independiente tanto en línea como fuera de línea. Padres, asegúrese de que sus estudiantes completen su trabajo todos los días.

Asistencia

Estar presente es un componente clave del éxito de los estudiantes. La asistencia se tomará a las 7:45 AM durante nuestra reunión de la mañana y en cada sesión en vivo durante el día. Si por alguna razón su hijo pierde el día, necesitará una nota del médico o una nota del padre enviada a la Sra. Diane Butler tal como lo haría si asistiera a la escuela en persona.

Sesiones en Vivo / Trabajo Independiente / Grupo Pequeño

Las sesiones en vivo incluirán lecciones para cada materia impartida por el profesor. El trabajo independiente hará que los estudiantes trabajen solos (con el apoyo de los padres según sea necesario) durante ese tiempo. Los estudiantes pueden ser llevados a grupos pequeños durante el tiempo independiente para la instrucción en grupos pequeños.

Concursos / Pruebas

Los estudiantes tomarán cuestionarios y pruebas en línea. Es importante que los estudiantes trabajen en estas asignaciones por su cuenta. Estas pruebas y cuestionarios pueden ocurrir durante una sesión en vivo.

Simulacros de Incendio

Tenga en cuenta que los niños que están en la escuela seguirán participando en simulacros de incendio y simulacros de A.L.I.C.E. Cuando esto ocurra si estamos en una sesión en vivo, la sesión finalizará y se reanudará a la próxima hora programada.
