I teach First Grade, all subjects other than Specials (Music, Art, Physical Education). 

 I am so excited to have you in my class! With so many fun activities planned, we are going to have an awesome school year!

As needed, online learning will be completed via Microsoft Teams.

Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).  These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.

Here is a sneak peek into some concepts we will see this year:

 Sight Words

The list consists of words that students will come across often. The first list is words commonly heard and used in 1st Grade, so please practice them with your child at least once a week. A quick and fun way to practice would be to make flash cards for a review game! Encourage your child to do their best to get an even higher score next time until complete. Once they have all the words on one list, move on to the next list of words!
