     Preparing for Distance Learning

    As we continue to navigate these uncharted waters due to COVID-19, MCPS is taking additional steps to support our students, teachers, schools, and community. The Instructional Continuity Plan (ICP) ​for distance teaching and learning ensures students have access to high-quality learning opportunities outside of our traditional brick and mortar school environment. MCPS has a robust plan for students, teachers, and parents to continue working together online.

    The district’s main communication platform is the Teacher Web Page. Classroom assignments and activities are available on teacher web pages found at each school's website accessible via www.marionschools.net.

    Digital Communication Platforms

    Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and Zoom are additional digital platforms for communications between teachers and students.


    Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
