Welcome to our 2nd Grade Class!

My name is Tabitha Squires, and I am your child's teacher this year! I am so thankful to have found my place here at Sunrise!

I obtained my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2012, and worked as a Middle School Librarian for the first 4 years of my career.  In 2016, I accepted a position in MS Language Arts.  I moved from middle school to 4th, then 3rd, then 1st.  Now I have been in 2nd grade for the last three years, moving from Legacy Elementary to Sunrise Elementary starting with the 2021-2022 year!

My boys and I moved from Illinois in October of 2019, after living there my whole life.  I am used to the cold, and snow, and all these things.  Now I am learning to enjoy heat, sun, and a pool, luckily!  We moved down here to be closer to my mom, and to get away from an urban setting in Illinois.  I am so very blessed with two of the most amazing boys, who also attend Sunrise.
