Hello students and families!

I have worked here at Fort McCoy for 20+ years and agree with the idea expressed by my co-workers that our school is the ‘best kept secret’ in Marion County.  My three daughters came through Fort McCoy - this is the very foundation on which they built their paths to success.  My grandbabies are beginning their educational journey here and I’m starting to see children on campus who are the offspring of former students… WOW!

My husband and I are North Marion High graduates and live on Lake George.  Fort McCoy is my community’s school, so my pride in FMS goes without saying.  As a rule, kids of the Fort are respectful, helpful, kind, and eager to learn.  Getting to know you all this year as students of United States history will certainly be an adventure, and I look forward to it. 

In addition to the credentials listed, I have also written two successful proposals for the National Register of Historic Places and am, myself, a sixth generation Marion Countian [sic].  I hope to use my study of the past in teaching U.S. history to our community's eight graders.
