Past Due Assignments

  • Hello everyone! Just a couple more weeks! the paper packets are for 2 weeks. So this will be your last pickup. We are on the home stretch here.

Also, we will begin handing out student items the week of May 18th. Pick-up will occur in the car line on Wednesday, May 20th from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

I understand some families have students in multiple grade levels, but in order for this to be an organized and orderly process we will adhere to the designated times. For all of 3rd-5th grade (this includes us) pickup will be Wednesday the 20th.

For those who pick up paper packets:

Packets are available at the school for 8-2 Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These are for 2 weeks.
For Social Studies, complete the crossword puzzle on the back of the SS Weekly.

Send a picture of all assignments through email, text, or Dojo.

For those that have access to a computer/internet:

    ELA:

Continue Working on Your Animal Research Paper - This will be due on Monday, May 25th.
You will need to write a research paper about an animal of your choice. It would be smart to pick an animal that you don't know very much about. Click on the link to see a list to choose from.

I EXTENDED THE DUE DATE BECAUSE I DIDNT RECEIVE A LOT OF PAPERS THIS PAST WEEEK.

You will have to find and read some articles about your animal so you can write a 5 paragraph research essay.

Introduction Paragraph should include the name of your animal, its description and what continent/state it is found.

1st Detail Paragraph should include its habitat (where it sleeps, eats and call home) and its adaptations (what they do or have to survive their environment.)

2nd Detail Paragraph should tell what their diet includes, their prey, and their predators.

3rd Detail Paragraph should include at least 3 fun facts about your animal that you didn't know before.

Conclusion Paragraph should tell me why you think this animal is interesting.

Use what you have learned in writing this year to create this essay. Don't forget to indent for each paragraph, use transitions, and site where you get some of your information. Use nice handwriting if you write on notebook paper. You may type your essay and share it with me through email. You will have 2 weeks to complete this. You will need to include a picture of your animal with your finished project.

I will grade this as a writing assignment, so be sure to use what you have learned about citing where you found your information and not copying straight from the resource (use paraphrasing.)

**When sending me your essay via picture, please make sure I can read it.

  • Good evening! I want to wish everyone out there a very Happy Mother's Day (a day late, SORRY)!

I did my best to keep things as simplistic as possible for this week, while also incorporating fun and free elements! :)

As always, please feel free to message me with any questions you may have about any of the assignments.

Keep up the awesome work everyone! :)
