• Hello Second Grade students and Families!

    I hope you all are doing well and staying safe. Distance learning is new to all of us, so we ask that you stay patient with us, as we all navigate through this together. We will work together to make sure you are on task and still learning.


    Many of the tasks students will be working on are through their student portal. Students know how to log in into their portal (MARION DESKTOP) and from there, find where they need to go. If at any moment, they have any login trouble or forgot their log in information, please feel free to email me and I will get it out to you.


    Please take a moment to navigate through my teacher website and familiarize yourself with it. All assignments will be listed in the “ASSIGNMENTS” tab. Click each subject for further instructions on the assignment.

    Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).  These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device

  • Announcements!


    • Printed Packets- Packets are updated every monday for the new week. Parents can pick up printed materials from the front of the school Mon-Thurs between 8am-2pm


    • To reach our school guidance counselor, Mrs. Ricks, please visit her teacher webpage 



    • Yearbooks- If you ordered a yearbook, please call the school to make an appointment for pick up. 


    • Last day of school is JUNE 1. :) 


    • Personal Belongings- Date for pick up for personal belongings 2nd & 3rd Grades - May 26. 
      •  There will be designated days for you to drive through the car line and retrieve your child’s belongings. Please have your car pick up tag, (if you have one) in your window, remain in your car, and staff will bring your child’s items to you. The window for this drive through pick up service will be from 8:30 am – 11:00 am and again from 12:00 pm – 2:00pm. 

      • If your child has any library books at home, please bring them with you to return back to the library. 

        June 3 Chromebook and textbook returns begin.  More details on these plans are forthcoming.

    • EMS is now a "Grab and Go Meal Service" location. You can go and pick up a meal to go between 10am-11am. You must come with your child to pick up.
