We will be using Microsoft Teams as the method of delivering instruction online.
Click the Office 365 icon on your MCPS student desktop. Then select the Teams app. It looks like people and is a dark blue color.
I will provide live whole group and small group instruction, assignments, interactive activities and we will chat through this platform.

Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child's image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.

Welcome parents and students!
Although we are working together online I look forward to getting to know each of you. We can learn no matter where we are!
My virtual office hours are 3:00 -3:50pm daily. I may be reached at the school at 352-671-4800 ext. 51841 or via email at kelly.besser@marion.k12.fl.us.
I also utilize the Class Dojo app to communicate with parents. You will receive an invitation to use this app. Be sure to regularly check for posts or messages.
A summary of the topics we are learning each week will be provided in the Weekly News channel in Teams.
I look forward to seeing you online!
Love,
Mrs. Besser

i-Ready is our online learning resource that meets students where they are as far as ability. Students need to spend 45-50 minutes per week on i-Ready Reading and an additional 45-50 minutes on Math. Remember, we are working towards passing each lesson!
We will have a designated time during the day for I-Ready instruction.

MyOn is our online library. It is full of great books at all reading levels. I encourage you to have your child read stories everyday for at least 20 minutes. Reading daily is important and it is an expectation as part of our day.
