WELCOME, Earthlings!

 

My name is Mrs. Garand Scherer.

For the 2020-2021 school year, I will teach 6th-graders:

     *Cambridge- Earth/Space Science

And, I will teach 7th-graders:

     *General Education- Life Science

Although some people find these courses challenging, they are also quite a bit of fun, too! We will complete tens of hours of lab work individually and in small groups. I look forward to working with you. This is going to be an awesome year!

    The Marion County School Board approved our “Responsibly Reopening” plan for the next school year with options for parents and families, as many of you requested.

    Now, you may choose between a traditional, face-to-face classroom setting with safety and health protocols in place ***OR*** an online option with curriculum led by teachers from your child’s school.

    To learn more about these choices, visit our home page – www.marionschools.net – and click the link in the message box that automatically pops up.

    We encourage you to carefully consider which option is best for each child in your household and complete the “I Am Ready to Choose” process for each child.

    You have through Wednesday, July 15th, to make your choice.

    Our reopening plan is fluid and subject to updates.  It also directs the steps we’re taking to provide a safe school environment and online option to meet the needs of our students and families.
