ATTENTION PARENTS AND STUDENTS
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR IMPORTANT UPDATES
I would like to virtually welcome you back from our extended break and hope you and your families are all doing well. Our classroom will operate a little differently for the next month and we will navigate this world of remote learning together. Below you will see more information about how we will communicate and how assignments will be given. If you have specific questions for me, please feel free to email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will do my best to respond as soon as possible.
1. How will we communicate?
The primary way I plan to communicate will be by posting information on this website and via email. Please be sure to listen to any information coming from the district office as those skylert calls are the best way to stay up-to-date on important news.
I will also be available to communicate via Zoom conference from 10:00 - 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 2:30 PM Monday through Friday. (Zoom does require you download an app on your mobile device or computer). These are my virtual office hours as I am not physically on campus at this time. You can email me at email@example.com to set up a virtual appointment.
2. How will I get assignments?
Starting Wednesday April 1st, you will be getting an invitation to join Google Classrooms. Please check your student email and join the class. The class code is altmbnu. Through Google Classrooms we will be able to work on certification practice tests and other certification-related assignments. Check for assignments in the assignments tab on my website. You will need to click on the correct month and year then click on filter to see the current assignments.
3. How will attendance/participation be monitored?
Daily attendance is required. Log into the Google classroom each day by 2:00 PM and respond to the posted discussion question. Your attendance and class participation will be monitored in the Google Classroom daily and will count as your weekly attendance and participation grade worth 20 points per day.
You will need to log in to the google classroom daily to complete your attendance/participation discussion question and check the assignments tab for assignments that will need to be completed. Remember, this is new for all of us and I am here to help. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org any questions you may have and/or email me if you'd like to set up a virtual appointment during my daily virtual office hours.
