Welcome to my "about me" page! Here you can learn a few things about your Second grade teacher, Ms. Schermerhorn (pronounced Sure mer horn).

I was raised in South Florida and moved to Ocala almost 40-years-ago.  I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2018 with my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education.  This is my third year teaching and my first year in Second grade.

I am the mother of three adult children and the Nonni (grandmother) of two beautiful grandchildren, 10 and 7.  I live with three dogs, Otterhound's, three black cat's, and two Quarter horse's, one expecting a baby in February.  Besides spending time with my family, my favorite things to do are ride my horses, kayak, go to the beach, and work on my farm.  I also like to cook.

I look forward to a wonderful and creative year with my Second grade students!
