• SPECIAL MESSAGE TO MY STUDENTS AND THIER PARENTS

     

    The start of this school year will look and feel a bit different than other years.  However, regardless of all the changes and uncertainties that are swirling around us, my students can be certain that some things will not change in my classroom - whether that classroom is on the Vanguard campus or in your own home. Leaarning will happen; obstacles will be revealed and overcome; connections will be made; and most importantly, every student will be encouraged, they will be heard and they will be seen.  I look forward to journeying with each of my students, individually and collectively through each lesson, each week and every experience that lies ahead of us in this school year!

    My door is always open and I welcome and encourage input and feedback from students and parents alike.

    FIRST DAY INSTRUCTIONS AND EXPECTATIONS

    In-Person Instruction...

    Students who will be attending in person classes will report to their first period class.  You can access your schedule through your student portal.  Be prepared to bring and wear a face mask that is covering your nose and mouth while you are on campus.  

     

    MCPS Online Instruction...

     

    Students who will be taking classes online will sign into their Microsoft Teams account where they will join a "Team Meeting"/video conference with their assigned teacher.  Be sure to access your schedule through the student portal because you will be expected to be online for the beginning of each class as you would if you were attending in person classes.
