    Distance Learning Information:

Assignments: On the Google Classroom (or download the app) 'Classwork' page is where I will post all assignments and where you will turn in your work.  Remember to log in using your school email account information.  You should not need any codes since we've been using Googe Classroom all year.  If you get a message to enter a code, you're not logged in with your marionstudents.net account.  I will also post a video attachment or link that will give information about each week's assignment (don't worry, it'll all be in the same assignment box).

Apps/Websites: Go ahead and download the Zoom app on your phones, or access the Zoom website  Be sure to click Sign In (DO NOT click Sign Up) and choose 'Sign In with Google (same as with Membean).  If your school account is listed, click it.  If it's not listed, choose 'Use another account' and then enter your school info.  Also, if you still haven't, I need you to download the Remind 101 app. This has been my most consistent way of communicating quick updates.  Codes are listed below.

Parking Lot WifiForest High School is now offering free parking lot wifi service Monday - Friday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.  All you have to do is be driven to the school, park in the parking lot, connect to the wifi, and complete your assignments.

Schedule/Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9a.m. - 11a.m.: Class meeting invitations will be posted on the Google Classroom 'Stream' page. This is NOT mandatory, but you may join if you have a question about an assignment.  Remember, however, that the invite is open to all students.  Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 8:30am - 3pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am - 3pm: I am available for individual help. You can either message me on Remind, email me, or if you need verbal interaction, we can schedule a meeting through Zoom.

Attendance: Attendance will still be taken as is required by law.  Required means you will need to check in with your teachers on a daily basis before 10 a.m.  For me, you will check in through Google Classroom by answering a question - look for a link with 'Attendance' in the title.  Any student who doesn't check in three days in a row will be reported to Administration per the District.

English I and English I Honors PagesOn this website, the only thing I'll be posting on those pages is the weekly agenda.  Again, all assignments will be posted on Google Classroom.

Grades: Assignments will be graded starting Wednesday, 4/1/2020.  It is your responsibility to complete and turn in assignments in order for you to earn a grade.

Extra CreditOpportunities for extra credit include the following: 1) one 15-minute Membean session (if you do this once every week, do not expect all possible points that can be earned to be added to your grades - that will be on a case-by-case basis); 2) for any assignments, the extra credit option given at the bottom of the assignment instructions on Google Classroom.  Please note that I will not accept extra credit from any students with a 95% or higher, or from any students who are missing at least one assignment.  The cut-off date for any extra credit is Friday, May 29, 2020.

Last Day of School: June 1, 2020 is the last day of school for students.  Please ensure all assignments are turned in that day so teachers can finalize Q4 grades.

**This is new to many of us - teachers, students, and parents.  Please be patient as we all try at this different way of learning.**
