APPLICATION AT BOTTOM OF PAGE
Students may not be paid cash; company check or direct deposit is allowed showing Federal Taxes withheld. This requirement ensures that employers also follow Child Labor Laws.
Adjust your work schedules if necessary for testing in May. Your work schedule CAN NOT dictate your school days; so you need to adjust your work schedule to your school schedule.
Notify your employer NOW.
MAY = A Days 10,11,17,18 (All Mondays & Tuesdays)
B Days 12, 13, 19 20 (All Wednesdays and Thursdays)
STATE STANDARD: YOU MUST HAVE TWO PASSING 9 WEEKS TIME SHEETS TO PASS THE SEMESTER.
If you had a 3rd nine weeks 100% and decide you will not do a 4th nine weeks time sheet and take a lower grade you FAIL the SEMESTER as per State Standard.
Those of you that still owe me a 3rd nine weeks time sheet are unfortunately ahead of the class for failing the semester. A great 4th nine weeks can not 'save' your credit.
Your Employer's Evaluation form is now available to you in the Guidance Office; see Mrs. Tedder.
The Employer's Evaluation form must be stapled to your final time sheet and is part of your FINAL EXAM.
Each student will have a certain number of hours to complete this nine weeks based on the State Standards for OJT.
You will receive additional emails from me in the coming days about what date you can turn your time sheet in after.
Final time sheets can't be late especially if you are a SENIOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You will still have to sign-in the entire quarter or your grade drops.
Don't forget to type in your supervisor(s) first and last name before you print it for them to sign.
IT IS A STATE REQUIREMENT TO HAVE TWO SEPARATE NINE WEEKS TIME SHEETS WTIH MINIMUM HOURS EACH WEEK TO PASS THE SEMESTER.
IF YOU DON'T SEE THE GRADE YOU EXPECTED YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ THE 'TIME SHEET' DIRECTIONS AND LOOK AT THE SAMPLE TIME SHEET!
Attendance/sign-in 'loss of points' for not emailing me your sign-in have been posted. This is 50% of your grade and is updated weekly.
There is no way to 'make-up' attendance. You either sign-in that day or you don't.
That's called teacher-student contact or communication.
Let me know how I can help you.
For Attendance: kathryn.shockley@marion.k12.fl.us
OJT students MUST check-in 'electronically' through email with Mrs. Shockley from 7:00 AM until NOON on the day(s) you have an OJT class period and
EVERYONE on Friday.
To streamline the process; your name is already on the email so I just need you to put the period(s) you have OJT.
Communication with me is the key to getting 100% in OJT.
Electronically signing in indicates or signifies to Mrs. Shockley that:
1. you are still working at the same employer
2. you are still working the minimum number of hours required for the week. You DO NOT need to litearally type in that you are working and getting your hours. You checking in for attendance implies those two things.
If either of these two are incorrect you must email or text Mrs. Shockley the first day this changes.
Keep track of your hours worked since the first day of school to put onto the time sheet for your interim grade and 9 weeks grade.
