Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Zarah Turner

My name is Zarah Turner and this is my fourth year teaching elementary school.  I have been married to my husband of 28 years and have two amazing children, my daughter Elizabeth will be completing her teacher internship for the Elementary Education Program at WGU. My son Trey, is currently enrolled at UF for his RN/BSN. Education has always been a focal point in our family. My future goals are easily defined. I want to be the best teacher that I can possibly be. I have always been drawn to children and have volunteered as well as worked for the last twenty years in elementary schools.  I am currently working on my National Board certification and plan work on my gifted endorsement, Stem and Masters in Elementary Education, eventually earning my Doctorate.  I look at every experience as a learning opportunity to better myself for my children and future students. I look forward to all my future education, knowing that it will benefit my students. A teacher to me is not only an educator, but they are someone who touches our young one's lives and helps to shape and mold them into the adults that they are going to eventually become. To become the best, one must be willing to consistently learn and grow themselves, to open themselves up to new ways of learning. I am extremely excited to start this year with your children, to learn, to love and to grow with them!
