As many of you have heard by now, we will be continuing distance learning through the end of the school year. I am truly missing my students and I know that they long to be back in the classroom with their friends. Please utilize my office hours for help. I am able to zoom or talk to students on the phone to work them through their assignments. If you would like to schedule a time that works for you, please let me know!
I have truly enjoyed being able to work with your second graders this year! I know that transitioning to online learning is a new concept and may seem tough at first, but we will get through this together and help our students to strive to be the very best that they can be. I have worked with your children for several months now and I know that they are awesome little people who are up to the challenge! Please check this page often for announcements, assignments and updates that I may need to share with you. This will be the time where I will be able to talk to students about questions that they may have on their assignments.

Students have been sent an email to join and guardians can set up their own page to see their child's progress for the week. When loging in, they must use their mcps email which is firstname.lastname@marion.k12.fl.us. This is easier when they are logged into their google account from the computer, just as they normally do when they open the chromebooks and login for the first time. The access code is uzcfxuk. Each week will include 3 ELA lessons, 3 math lessons, 1 science lesson, 1 social studies lesson and 45 minutes in math and ELA iready. Parents will now have access to a "Parent Tech Hotline" @ (352) 867-2100 from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM. This hotline will assist with mobile devices and programs.

Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
