• Ms. Carrino's 1st Grade Hello students and parents!!! I want to welcome you to my Greenway Elementary Teacher Page!

As we continue our educational journey outside of the classroom, I want to assure you that my goal is to keep my students excited and engaged, ready to continue our growth and amazing academic progress! As a class, my students have demonstrated AMAZING academic growth and it is important to keep that growth moving forward so we can finish out this year on a VERY STRONG AND POSITIVE note!

We will be using the online "Distance Learning" platform until further notice from the district.

For our class "Distance Learning" guide- please click here DISTANCE LEARNING GUIDE

This is where you will find the answers to most of your questions and the components of the Distance Learning Platform.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about this new path we are taking!

  • **Please click on "Assignments" on the left side of the page to view daily tasks and assigned lessons. Assignments for the next day will be posted by 9pm the evening before.

**There will be "live" lessons each week...2 ELA, 2 Math and 1 Social Studies and/or Science. Please make every effort for your child to attend these lessons as this is how the students will be learning new material moving forward.

**Students will have the entire week to complete written assignments- this allows for parents who work or for other situations where you cannot be with your child to help them complete their work. Assignments should be uploaded to their "portfolio" on Dojo. I will approve them daily as they are submitted :)

**Students now have their CKLA and GoMath books which the can use for assignments. There will be additional assignments that will contain a link to click to access the work.

**Please use Dojo to sign in for attendance by 8am.

We are all in this together!!!

  • I will be available each day from 9-10am and 12:30-1:30pm to assist with questions or concerns that you or your child may have about their "distance learning" day.

You may contact me on Class Dojo or request a face-to-face meeting on Zoom.

  • Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).  These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
