MISSON
The Wildcat Entrepreneurship Academy will equip students with an entrepreneurial mindset; preparing them to become business leaders and active participants in the economic growth of Marion County.
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FRAMEWORKS
The program will introduce students to the concept of entrepreneurship, present entrepreneurship as a viable career option provide students with the skills needed to realistically evaluate their potential as business owners, and to develop the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to start and operate a business.

Engage in Project-Based Learning using the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Curriculum (NFTE)
Meet and learn from local entrepreneurs through a partnership with Ocala/Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership (CEP)
Participate in Youth Business Plan Competitions – local, regional and national competitions
Earn Industry Certifications – Social Media Strategist, Quickbooks, Entrepreneurship & Small Business
COURSES
Level One – Principles of Entrepreneurship
Students will learn the basic principles of entrepreneurship: the role of the entrepreneur, entrepreneurship as a career, ethics in business, and the principles of marketing, financing, and managing a business.
Level Two – Business Management and Law
Students will learn business management techniques. Topics include human relations, decision making, communication techniques, business-related legal concepts, and characteristics of the American enterprise system.
Level Three – Business OwnershipThis course will provide students with the skills needed to realistically evaluate their potential as business owners and develop the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to start and operate a business.
Level Four – Marketing Education Directed Study
Students will participate in job shadowing experiences and serve as teaching assistants to first year Academy students. These experiences will enhance opportunities for employment in the career field chosen by the students.
