• Hello,

My name is Bobby Tingle. I am in my first year here at Horizon Academy, but in my eleventh year teaching. I spent my first year teaching in Dyer County, Tennessee as an 8th grade Health teacher. The last 10 years, I have spent here in Marion County as an ESE teacher in varying capacities. I've had the privilege of teaching at The Vines Hospital for students with varying disabilities, The Marion Youth Academy, as well as Support Facilitator at West Port High School and Lake Weir High School.

For our currect school year, I will be teaching 6th-8th grade Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math. Also, I will be assisting my students with career development and life skills, which will benefit many of my students well beyond the classroom. All students in my class will be working on ACCESS Points for all of their core classes.

I am looking forward to a great year with all of my students and their familiies! All that I ask of my students, is that they bring a positive attitude along with a growth mindset for learning. We will cultivate a learning atmosphere with an environment that all students feel safe and welcomed! At anytime during the school year, anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me via email at bobby.tingle@marion.k12.fl.us.

Welcome to Horizon Academy where we will soar to new heights this school year!!
