- We are looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with lots of learning.
Our year will include learning letters/sounds, writing, math skills and lots of exciting science and social skills.
There are things you can do at home to ensure your child's success. Please read with them for 20 minutes each day/night. As you read ask questions about the story (where is, what color, how many) After you read ask simple questions like "Who are the characters? Where did the story take place? and "What was your favorite part and Why?"
There is also "Jack Hartman" music and movement activities and a series about the alphabet with nursery rhymes called “Olive and the Rhyme Rescue Crew” that can be found on YOUTUBE, along with some good computer programs like "ABC Mouse", "Reading Eggs" and "Starfall".
We hope these resources will help you work with your child at home.
Please check back through out the year for more information.
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Carr & Miss Huggins
