Hello! My name is Michele Retter and I am an Intensive Reading teacher here at Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks.  Currently I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  Both of my children attended Horizon Academy and were very happy here.

I recently graduated from Capella University with a Masters of Science in Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy. In 2011, I graduated from the Univeristy of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies concentrating on education, sociology and criminology.  I am currently working on pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Leadership.

I started working at Horizon Acadmey in 2014 as a paraprofessional in the Reading Department.  I love all my students and enjoy working with each and every one of them.  I invite you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns either via email or this webpage.
