Welcome to Mrs. Brogan's Class!

  • Welcome to my AICE US History, AICE Global Perspectives, and AICE Travel and Tourism classes! I look forward to making this a successful year!

In AICE US History we will be looking at topics such as the Civil War and Reconstruction, the Gilded Age and the Progressive Era, and the Great Depression. We will spend our year learning about these topics through the use of in depth reading, analysis of primary and secondary sources, discussion, and projects. AICE is writing intensive and we will write essays on a regular basis. It is CRUCIAL that students stay on track with reading assignments.

In AICE Global Perspectives we will be learning a specific set of skills that will help you in your future endeavors both in and out of the classroom. In this class we will look at global events through various perspectives to better understand our world. In this class you will learn how to do research, analyze sources, write a thourough research paper, and complete a presentation. This class relies heavily on discussion and students will have to stay up to date on current events to promote student involvement in class.

In AICE Travel and Tourism we will be learning about features of the travel and tourism industry as well as principles of customer service. Students in this class will have regular reading assignments and will work in groups to complete a project in which students have to plan a travel and tourism event from start to finish.
