Dear K-5^th Grade Parents,

I am looking forward to seeing and teaching your children this year! It will be very different this year, because I will be going to their classroom on a cart. Because of this, I am putting together individual music bags for each child. These are for my brick and mortar kids; I will be sending directions to my online students on how to make their own instruments out of things they can find around the house. The only thing I would need from you is to send your child to school with a fine tip dry erase marker. If that is already requested from your homeroom teacher, then your child will be all set!

Music class will look very different this year, as we cannot sing or chant as a group. We will, however, be able to do instruments, body percussion, movement in place, etc. We are also not having afterschool activities, so no honor choir for now. I hope that this will change!  We are also not allowed to play recorders, but if your child already has one and is interested, I will post recorder activities for them to do at home. I hope to do recorder orders again this year, but I will provide more information on this later.
