Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).  These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device. 

Welcome Parents and 2nd Graders!

 This is some information that will help us keep in touch and keep students learning!

 Communication:

Classroom communication will be through the Remind App.  If you haven't joined our class on the Remind App yet, please email me at katherine.nick@marion.k12.fl.us.  I will give you our class code and information to join our class. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.  I am available for conferences at 10:00-11:00am and 2:00-3:00pm.

Learning:

I will use Google Classroom to post assignments and learning activities for students.  You can reach me through the Remind App or via email for our class code. 

Attendance:

If your child is not able to attend school on a specific day, please let me know by 9:00am via email.  I will be posting attendance by that time.  If your child is absent, please email a doctor's note or excuse.

Zoom Meetings:

We will have a Zoom meeting once a week to keep in touch and answer any questions.  I can't wait to see your cute smiling faces! Time for meetings and Zoom code TBA.

Specials:

You will have a different Special each week.  Look in the "Announcements" box to see the Special for each week and be sure to swing over to that teacher's page to see what is assigned!

Technology:

If you have a Chromebook from the school here is the number where you can get assistance or have questions with the technology.

Wow, we are learning all kinds of new things during this time!
