    Special Hours: Monday-Friday 9-10am and 1-2pm 

    These are hours of availability for student questions and feedback/clarification. Upon receiving a Dojo message or email, I will immediately respond during those hours. 


    If you need to reach me to schedule a conference please contact me  so that we can work together to find a convenient time to address your concerns.

    I can schedule a conference via Zoom or phone M-F 8am-3pm

    but NOT during the following time frames: M-F 9-10am and 1-2pm.

    HOW ARE WE GOING TO "DO" SCHOOL...We will use the following online platforms to learn, accomplish tasks and assess:


    On Student Desktop/Portal - Google Classroom, GoMath/ThinkCentral, FL Studies Weekly Social Studies, iReady Reading and Math, MyOn Reading and STEMScopes







    WHAT IS EXPECTED? I expect you as the "BEST CLASS IN MARION COUNTY" to complete...

    Each WEEK 45 minutes on iReady Math AND 45 minutes on iReady Reading


    Each WEEK 3 Reading/Writing Tasks, 3 Math Tasks, 1 Science Task and 1 Social Studies Task {A Task is defined as any learning experience/activity that has been assigned by your teacher for you to complete/perform. For example, I may assign a specific Studies Weekly for you to read and take the associated test or I may assign a specific iReady Math skill for you to watch and complete the quiz.} Tasks will be assigned through my website every Monday and all Tasks are due by Sunday at 3pm. Go to Weekly "TASKS" links tab and you will find the link.


    Each WEEK attend one Class Zoom meeting (As of now we will schedule for Monday's at 10am but this is subject to change.)

    Each DAY read 20 minutes independently or with your family (You have access to take AR tests from home!  https://www.marionschools.net/domain/672 Just click on AR @ HOME)


    ONLY if you are unable to work online for a particular day send me an email at Dawn.Carpenter@marion.k12.fl.us to let me know you are unable to work and why. Although your school day will not look like a typical day you need to be self governed to use your planner and schedule your work each day. 



    Until further notice you will receive one grade per subject per week. Grades will come from Tasks in Reading/Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. You will have from Monday to Sunday at 3pm to complete Tasks. Grades will be represented in your Skyward account after I receive specifics from the district of how they are to be appointed/categorized. As soon as I know I will forward the information to you. 


    ONE Special each week. ART is the 4th grade Special for the LAST WEEK of SCHOOL May 25-June 1, 2020! 

    MUSIC is the 4th grade Special for the Week of May 18, 2020. Please contact your Speacial Area teacher and visit their website.
