Mrs. Williams-Ortega
Dear Parents and Students,
Something about me: this is my eighth year teaching Spanish here at Howard Middle School, though I have been a teacher for over seventeen years. I am originally from Mexico and graduated from the University Femenina of Guadalajara with a degree in Science of Communications, a B.A. in Liberal Studies, and a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from The East Bay University in California. I am certified to teach Spanish by the state of Florida.
I am very glad to have your child in my class. I plan to make their year of Spanish a fruitful journey. Learning a foreign language is essential today not only to meet the requirements of higher education institutions, but also because of the expanding global economy and ever-increasing job opportunities domestically and internationally requiring one or more additional languages. Students will benefit from learning Spanish no matter what academic or career path they pursue.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about your child or if you are aware of any struggle your child is having in class. My main goal as a teacher is to help my students to succeed in my class.
