    Hello! 

    Welcome to Algebra 2, Math for College Readiness, AP Physics 1.

     

    Algebra 2 is a math course that will guide you through linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials and radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability and trigonometry. And yes, you will use all of this sometime in real life.

     

    Math for College Readiness is a math course that will guide you through linear equations and inequalities; graphs; polynomial, radical and exponential expressions; quadratic equations; and functions. We may discuss logarithmic expressions, sequences, series, and probability as well.

     

    AP Physics 1 is the first of two AP Physics courses that will guide you through Kinematics, Dynamics, Energy, Momentum, Torque and Rotational Motion, Electric Charge and Electric Force, DC Circuits, and Mechanical Waves and Sound. Physics is the foundational science all other sciences rely on.

     

    This year we will also be doing work online as well as in class (circumstances permitting), so the class may seem like a hybrid-type of class. Based on FHS’s hybrid schedule you will have approximately: 108 Class periods, 170 School days, 8 Months and 40 Weeks to look forward to , and 5 National Holidays, 5 Fall Break days, 11 Winter Break days, and 5 Spring Break days between August 24th and May 28th to enjoy. This may sound like a lot of numbers but, hey, these are math and science courses. Right!?
